COOKIES POLICY

Last updated: 18 July 2026

This Cookie Policy explains what cookies are, how FIJI Patio Design uses them on our website, and how you can manage your cookie preferences.

1. What Are Cookies?

Cookies are small text files that are placed on your device (computer, tablet, or mobile phone) when you visit a website. They are widely used to make websites work more efficiently, to improve user experience, and to provide information to website owners.

Cookies can be “session cookies” (which are deleted when you close your browser) or “persistent cookies” (which remain on your device for a set period or until you delete them manually). They can also be “first-party cookies” (set by the website you are visiting) or “third-party cookies” (set by external services embedded in the website).

2. How We Use Cookies

FIJI Patio Design uses cookies responsibly and transparently. We only use cookies that are necessary for the functioning of our website or that help us improve your experience. We do not use cookies to collect personally identifiable information without your knowledge.

3. Types of Cookies We Use

3.1 Strictly Necessary Cookies

These cookies are essential for the website to function properly. They enable core features such as page navigation, security, and accessibility. Without these cookies, the website cannot operate correctly. Because they are necessary for the service, they do not require your consent under applicable law.

  • Session management: to maintain your session as you navigate between pages;
  • Language preference: to remember your selected language (English, Spanish, French, or German) across visits;
  • Security: to protect against fraudulent activity and ensure secure connections.

3.2 Analytics / Performance Cookies

These cookies help us understand how visitors interact with our website by collecting and reporting information anonymously. They allow us to measure and improve the performance of our site. This data is aggregated and does not personally identify you.

  • Visitor statistics: which pages are visited most frequently, how long visitors stay, and where they come from;
  • Error monitoring: to identify and fix technical issues that affect user experience;
  • Device and browser data: to ensure our website displays correctly across different platforms.

We use anonymised analytics tools that do not allow us to identify individual visitors. IP addresses are anonymised where possible.

3.3 Functional Cookies

These cookies enable enhanced functionality and personalisation. They may be set by us or by third-party providers whose services we have added to our pages.

  • Form preferences: to remember selections you have made in forms (with your consent);
  • Embedded content: cookies set by third-party services such as Google Maps, Instagram embeds, or video players that may appear on our website.

3.4 Marketing / Targeting Cookies

We currently do not use marketing or targeting cookies to deliver personalised advertisements. If we introduce such cookies in the future, we will update this policy and request your explicit consent before activating them.

4. Third-Party Cookies

Our website may include content or features provided by third parties. These services may set their own cookies on your device. We do not control the use of these cookies. For more information, please consult the privacy and cookie policies of the respective third parties:

  • Google Analytics / Google Maps: for website analytics and map embedding — see Google’s Privacy Policy;
  • Meta (Facebook / Instagram): for social media integration — see Meta’s Data Policy;
  • WhatsApp: for click-to-chat functionality — see WhatsApp’s Privacy Policy.

5. Cookie Duration

The duration of cookies varies depending on their type and purpose:

  • Session cookies: expire when you close your browser;
  • Persistent cookies: typically expire after 30 days to 13 months, depending on their purpose. We do not use cookies with a duration exceeding 13 months.

6. How to Manage Your Cookie Preferences

You have full control over cookies. You can manage or disable cookies through the following methods:

6.1 Browser Settings

Most web browsers allow you to control cookies through their settings. You can choose to block all cookies, allow all cookies, or receive a notification when a cookie is being sent. Please note that if you disable cookies entirely, some features of our website may not function correctly.

  • Google Chrome: Settings → Privacy and security → Cookies and other site data;
  • Mozilla Firefox: Settings → Privacy & Security → Cookies and Site Data;
  • Safari: Preferences → Privacy → Cookies and website data;
  • Microsoft Edge: Settings → Cookies and site permissions → Manage and delete cookies.

6.2 Our Cookie Banner

When you first visit our website, a cookie banner will appear allowing you to accept or customise your cookie preferences. You can change your preferences at any time by clearing your browser cookies and revisiting the site.

6.3 Do Not Track Signals

Some browsers include a “Do Not Track” (DNT) feature. At this time, our website does not respond to DNT signals because no common industry standard for DNT has been established. However, you can use the browser settings described above to control cookie behaviour.

7. Legal Basis for Cookie Use

Under the ePrivacy Directive and Spanish law (Ley 34/2002, de Servicios de la Sociedad de la Información y de Comercio Electrónico), our use of cookies is based on the following:

  • Strictly necessary cookies: no consent is required, as they are essential for the provision of the service you have explicitly requested;
  • Analytics and functional cookies: where these are not strictly necessary, we rely on your consent, which you provide through our cookie banner or browser settings;
  • Marketing cookies: we do not currently use these. If introduced in the future, we will obtain your explicit consent.

8. Changes to This Cookie Policy

We may update this Cookie Policy from time to time to reflect changes in the cookies we use, technological developments, or legal requirements. Any changes will be posted on this page with an updated “Last updated” date. We encourage you to review this page periodically.
